The ride began in Perpignan, southern France, and continued through Girona, Spain, where they spent the night, before arriving in Barcelona two days later. The event was designed to support the East End Community Foundation Life Chances Campaign , which has long focused on disadvantaged communities in East London, working to improve their life chances, dispel the shadows of life, and illuminate hope for the future.

Each cyclist will become a messenger of love and hope, measuring the lands of France and Spain with their wheels, gathering warmth and strength through their actions, and allowing this cross-border kindness to bring the possibility of changing the lives of vulnerable groups in East London.
