The New York Mercantile Exchange (COMEX) provides metal storage services for customers, including: COMEX gold inventory, COMEX silver inventory, NYMEX platinum inventory, and NYMEX palladium inventory. Gold and silver are stored in the warehouse in the names of banks and their customers to prepare for future contract deliveries.
