Definition

The Federal Reserve began releasing money supply data monthly on February 23, 2021 (local time), previously weekly. The data is divided into seasonally adjusted and unadjusted versions; we track the seasonally adjusted data. A single data point may undergo more than one minor adjustment. For example, if the latest value is released and a revision is made to the previous value, the next month's release may further revise the value from the period before that. The "previous value revision" we track is based on the current revision to the previously released value.
