The ADP National Employment Report is sponsored by ADP and compiled and maintained by Macroeconomic Advisers. This report, based on data from approximately 500,000 anonymous U.S. businesses, reflects the state of employment in the United States. In the first six months of 2008, the sample consisted of approximately 399,000 private-sector businesses in the U.S., covering nearly 24 million U.S. employees.
