On September 15th, local time, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that as part of the joint strategic exercises between Russia and Belarus, codenamed "West-2025," Russian Aerospace Forces Tu-22M3 long-range strategic bombers conducted combat training missions over the neutral waters of the Barents Sea, with a flight duration of approximately four hours. All flights strictly adhered to the rules for the use of international airspace. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that as part of the exercises, at the Russian Navy's Baltic Fleet training ground in Kaliningrad Oblast, Russian forces practiced operational missions to respond to a hypothetical enemy landing at sea during coastal defense operations.
