[OpenAI recruits former CFO of xAI, competition between Altman and Musk heats up] ⑴ According to a CNBC report on Tuesday, OpenAI has hired Mike Liberator, the former financial director of Musk's xAI, as a business finance officer to oversee large-scale infrastructure spending. A company spokesperson said that Liberator had only been at xAI for three months, resigned in July of this year, and officially joined OpenAI on Tuesday. ⑵ He will report to Chief Financial Officer Sarah Friar and collaborate with Greg Brockman's team, which is responsible for contracts and capital operations related to computing power strategy. ⑶ This personnel change is the latest development in the escalating competition between OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Musk.
