Brazil's unemployment rate falls to a record low of 5.6% (1) Brazil's moving quarter unemployment rate fell to 5.6% in July 2025, down from 5.8% in the previous quarter and slightly below the market expectation of 5.7%, reaching its lowest level since records began in 2012. (2) The number of unemployed people decreased to 6.1 million, the lowest since the end of 2013; the number of employed people reached a record high of 102.4 million.
