The Federal District Court of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, ruled on the 16th that former Brazilian President Bolsonaro, who had made racist remarks while in office, was ordered to pay 1 million reais (about 189,000 US dollars) in collective mental damages. The court found that Bolsonaro made racist remarks about a black man's hairstyle when he was president in 2021.
