[Global cybersecurity talent gap rises to 4.8 million in 2025] Yesterday (16th), at the National Cybersecurity Publicity Week sub-forum, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Education and Examination Center and other departments jointly released the latest "AI Era Cybersecurity Industry Talent Development Report (2025)". The report shows that the global cybersecurity talent gap will rise to 4.8 million in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 19%. In 2025, cybersecurity operations positions ranked first for three consecutive years with a share of 26.8%; companies most favor candidates with "3-5 years of experience + practical skills", among which 3-5 years of experience accounted for 28.2%, work experience and practical skills accounted for 76.2% and 72.2% respectively.
