10-30 Year UK Gilt Yields Rise by at Late European Trading on Thursday (September 18th), the 10-year UK gilt yield rose 5.1 basis points to a new daily high of 4.676%. After the Bank of England announced it would remain on hold at 7:00 PM Beijing Time, it fell to a new daily low of 4.610%, followed by a surge that lasted less than two hours. The two-year UK gilt yield rose 0.2 basis points to 3.961%, reaching a new daily high of 3.979% at 7:00 PM before plunging back to a new daily low of 3.930% at 7:24 PM. It spent most of the day trading in a range between 3.950% and 3.970%. The 30-year UK gilt yield rose 7.8 basis points to a new daily high of 5.508%, while the 50-year UK gilt yield rose 6.8 basis points to 4.897%. The 2/10 year UK government bond yield spread rose by 4.804 basis points to +71.345 basis points.
