On the 18th local time, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned Israel's air strikes on towns and villages in southern Lebanon. He pointed out that Israel did not respect the ceasefire mechanism and the countries that supported the ceasefire agreement. Its air strikes blatantly violated UN Security Council Resolution 1701. He also said that the ceasefire mechanism must serve all parties and should not become a cover for Israel's aggressive behavior. He stressed that the blatant violation of Lebanon's sovereignty should be stopped immediately.
