On September 18, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced an initiative to prioritize the review of new chemicals needed for artificial intelligence (AI) technology and data centers. The agency will include instructions in a computer program to help chemical manufacturers provide information to support its priority review requests. The EPA's artificial intelligence and data center chemical review plan will begin submissions on September 29, which means that chemicals used in artificial intelligence and data centers will receive faster approval from Trump's environmental regulator, the EPA.
