BYD Globally Debuts "Haohan," a New Generation Energy Storage Device; Its Smallest Unit Capacity Enough to Encircle an Electric Car 3.7 Times Around the Equator. On September 18th, BYD unveiled its new generation of heavy-duty energy storage device, the "Haohan," at the 2025 International Digital Energy Expo. This device boasts a world-leading minimum unit capacity of 14.5 megawatt-hours, enough to power an electric car around the equator 3.7 times. The Haohan boasts a volumetric energy density of 233 kWh per cubic meter, a 51.4% increase over the industry average. If the system volume is defined as a secondary container, while the current industry average is 6 to 7 megawatt-hours, the Haohan can achieve a massive capacity of 10 megawatt-hours.
