The U.S. Supreme Court will hear Trump's tariff case on November 5th. The U.S. Supreme Court confirmed Thursday that oral arguments on the legality of Trump's massive global tariffs will be held on November 5th, a major test of one of the Republican president's boldest assertions of executive power. The Supreme Court announced earlier this month that it would hear the case after lower courts ruled that Trump exceeded his authority by imposing most of the tariffs under a federal law originally intended for emergencies. The Supreme Court will begin a new nine-month trial session on October 6th and has agreed to concurrently hear a separate case challenging Trump's tariffs, filed by Learning Resources, a family-run toy company.
