The A-share market concluded its September and third quarter performance, with strong performance from major indices, particularly the ChiNext Index and the Sci-Tech Innovation 50 Index. The ChiNext Index saw a cumulative increase of over 50% in the third quarter. The overall upward market momentum boosted trading volume, with September setting a new monthly record for A-share market turnover. In terms of share volume, the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing stock exchanges combined for approximately 3.3 trillion shares in September, the second-highest monthly volume on record, surpassed only by November 2024. In terms of value, the combined turnover of the three markets reached approximately 53.2 trillion yuan, a new monthly record.
