[Baltic Gas Exchange completes strategic transfer, EEX takes over full operations] ⑴ The European Energy Exchange and Amber Grid, the Lithuanian natural gas transmission system operator, have completed the strategic process of equity transfer of GET Baltic. ⑵ In the first phase of the transaction in 2023, 66% of the shares were transferred at a price of 6.5 million euros, which was approved by the board of directors and the general meeting of shareholders at that time. ⑶ The transaction price of the remaining 34% of the shares is currently 3.8 million euros, marking the full implementation of this strategic cooperation that began in 2023. ⑷ As a registered data reporting entity holding ACER certification, GET Baltic launched natural gas trading activities in the Baltic countries and Finland on September 9. ⑸ This equity transfer was completed through an international public bidding process, which will strengthen EEX's influence in the Nordic natural gas market.
