[The Cyberspace Administration of China proposes strengthening automotive data security management and improving data export control] ⑴ At the 2025 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference, Wang Qi, Deputy Director of the Cyberspace Administration of China, emphasized the importance of adhering to law-based governance and guiding automotive data processors to implement security management requirements. ⑵ Requires the implementation of regulations such as the Regulations on Network Data Security Management and the Several Provisions on Automotive Data Security Management, giving full play to the role of automotive data security management mechanisms. ⑶ Accelerate the establishment and improvement of a fundamental system for automotive data property rights recognition, rights and interests distribution, and interest protection. ⑷ Accelerate the formulation and issuance of guiding documents for automotive data export security management, and promote the improvement of the national standard system for automotive data security protection. ⑸ Accelerate and implement the regularization of automotive data security management, and carry out the orderly identification and export management of important automotive data. ⑹ Urge automotive companies to effectively enhance their awareness of data security risks and preventative measures.
