Ukraine's Winter Planting Progress Reaches 82%, with Rapeseed Leading the Way: ⑴ The Ukrainian Ministry of Economy announced on Tuesday that winter crop plantings for 2026 have reached 5.3 million hectares, representing 82% of the projected total area. ⑵ The planned planting area for this year has expanded to 5.43 million hectares, a steady increase from the 5.24 million hectares planned for 2025. ⑶ Among the sub-species, rapeseed has the highest completion rate at 93.8%, followed by rye at 91.3%, wheat at 80.8%, and barley at 66.3%, with progress lagging behind.
