European natural gas stabilizes, supported by key technical support, while loose supply and demand limits gains. ⑴ The Dutch TTF benchmark front-month contract edged up €0.29 to €31.55/MWh, hitting an intraday low of €31.14, its lowest level since October 3rd. The UK front-month contract also rose 0.38 pence to 79.22 pence/therm. ⑵ Analysts point to €31/MWh as key technical support, but forecasts of warm weather and stable pipeline and LNG supplies continue to suppress demand, with wind power growth leading to net inventory injections. ⑶ European gas storage capacity is currently 82.79%, significantly lower than 95.21% in the same period last year. Vitol expects inventories to fall to 35% by the end of winter. ⑷ Although short-term wind weakening and falling temperatures have pushed up day-ahead contracts, increased pipeline gas from Norway and Algeria and expectations of a mild winter in the medium term have kept the market accommodative.
