Philippines Receives $55 Million Green Loan to Accelerate 2GW Solar Deployment: (1) Hitico Solar Corporation of the Philippines has secured a $55 million loan from Singapore-based Pentagreen Capital, a debt platform jointly backed by HSBC and Temasek. (2) The funds will be used to accelerate the deployment of 2 GW of solar power and 760 MWh of battery energy storage projects, encompassing eight solar parks with a total capacity of 640 MW. (3) The project spans four locations, including Pangasinan and Batangas Provinces. Three sites in Batangas will be equipped with 760 MWh of energy storage systems, creating the country's first baseload solar park. (4) The company plans to achieve 5 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, with the first 1 GW project expected to be operational by the end of this year.
