[Central State-Owned Enterprises Strategic Emerging Industries Development Special Fund Launched with Initial Size of 51 Billion Yuan] Today (29th), the Central State-Owned Enterprises Strategic Emerging Industries Development Special Fund, initiated by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and entrusted to China State-owned Assets Holdings Co., Ltd. for establishment and management, was launched in Beijing. The fund is now ready for investment and will help accelerate the development of strategic emerging industries. The initial size of the fund is 51 billion yuan, of which China State-owned Assets Holdings Co., Ltd. plans to contribute approximately 15 billion yuan. The fund has a 5-year investment period and an 8-year management and exit period, with the investment period potentially extended by up to 2 years, for a total of 15 years. As a special fund under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council to promote the accelerated development of strategic emerging industries of central state-owned enterprises, the fund will support state-owned enterprises in addressing industrial weaknesses and shortcomings, deploying cutting-edge innovation, and further enhancing their core functions and competitiveness. It will focus on supporting strategic emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, aerospace, high-end equipment, and quantum technology, as well as key areas of future industries such as future energy, future information, and future manufacturing.
