[Hungary's Q3 Economic Growth Accelerated but Still Missed Expectations] ⑴ Preliminary data shows that Hungary's GDP grew by 0.6% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025, falling short of market expectations of 1%. ⑵ However, this growth accelerated from the previous quarter's 0.1%, marking the strongest growth since the second quarter of 2024. ⑶ The main driver of growth was the overall performance of the service sector, particularly the information and communication technology (ICT) industry. ⑷ However, slower growth in industrial and agricultural value-added partially offset the upward momentum. ⑸ After seasonal adjustment, the economy grew by zero quarter-on-quarter in the third quarter, compared to 0.4% growth in the previous quarter.
