On Friday (October 31), in late European trading, influenced by month-end factors, the yield on 10-year German bonds fell to 2.633%, down 1.0 basis point from the previous trading day. It rose a cumulative 0.7 basis point this week and fell a cumulative 7.7 basis points in October. It had remained stable around 2.7% from October 1-7 and 7- On October 17, yields continued to decline, reaching a low of 2.523%, before gradually recovering throughout the month. The yield on two-year German bonds fell 1.8 basis points to 1.968%, roughly unchanged for the week, and down 5.1 basis points for October, having fallen as low as 1.852% on October 17. The yield on 30-year German bonds rose 1.3 basis points to 3.211%, down 6.9 basis points for October. The spread between 2-year and 10-year German bond yields rose 0.721 basis points to +66.275 basis points, down 2.731 basis points for October.
