On Friday, October 31, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) continued to disrupt flights due to air traffic control issues, delaying flights at Austin, Newark, and Nashville airports. At least nine FAA facilities faced staffing problems that day. The agency stated that flights at Houston and Dallas airports were likely to be delayed later. Nashville flights were delayed an average of 61 minutes, Austin flights 50 minutes, and Newark flights 101 minutes. FlightAware reported that as of 12:30 PM ET, 2,200 U.S. flights were delayed and 300 flights were canceled.
