Spot gold fell 0.51% to $4004.02 per ounce, a cumulative increase of 3.74% in October, having reached a record high of $4381.52 on October 20. COMEX gold futures rose 0.06% to $4018.50 per ounce, a cumulative increase of 3.76% in October, also reaching an intraday high of $4398.00 on October 20. Spot silver fell 0.54% to $48.6651 per ounce, a cumulative increase of 4.29% in October, having reached $54.4796 on October 17. COMEX silver futures fell 0.66% to $48.295 per ounce, a cumulative increase of 3.60% in October.
