Located in Guinan County, Hainan Prefecture, Qinghai Province, the Walang Pumped Storage Power Station's preliminary construction began in August 2023. With a total investment of 15.94 billion yuan and a total installed capacity of 2.8 million kilowatts, it will install eight 350,000-kilowatt reversible units, with a designed annual power generation of 3.36 billion kilowatt-hours and an annual utilization of 1,200 hours.
