Google announced on Friday that it will partner with India's largest telecom provider, Reliance Jio, to offer its Gemini AI service to over 500 million users free of charge. The plan includes access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro model, extended use of NotebookLM learning and research tools, and 2TB of cloud storage. Google will provide the AI Pro plan to Jio users in phases, with each user's plan valued at approximately 35,100 rupees (about $396). The initial phase will offer an 18-month early access period to young users aged 18 to 25 using unlimited 5G plans, before making it available to all Jio users.
