On April 1, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order terminating the validity of Articles 3 and 4 of the Agreement between the Government of the USSR and the Government of Finland on the Limited Use of the Vookssa River for Energy Development at the Svetogorsk and Imatra Hydroelectric Power Stations. In the order, Mishustin stated that, given Finland's unilateral refusal to purchase Russian electricity since April 4, 2022, Russia will no longer be obligated to supply compensatory energy as stipulated in Articles 3 and 4 of the Agreement.
