[Poll: Nearly 90% of Americans Worried About Government Shutdown's Economic Impact] A poll conducted jointly by YouGov and CBS News shows that nearly 90% of Americans are concerned to varying degrees about the impact of the US government shutdown on the country's economy. The data shows that 54% of Americans expressed "serious concern" about the impact of the shutdown on the US economy, while another 32% expressed "some concern." Only 13% of Americans are not at all worried about the economic impact of the shutdown. Notably, the proportion of people expressing concern about this issue increased by 80% in about a month. Meanwhile, more than half of Americans disapprove of President Donald Trump and the Republican and Democratic parties' approach to handling the government shutdown. 56% of respondents disapprove of Trump's decisions, and 55% disapprove of the actions of the Republicans and Democrats.
