A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck off the east coast of Kamchatka, Russia, at 15:10 Beijing time on November 3, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center. The epicenter was at a depth of 20 kilometers. According to the China Earthquake Networks Center's rapid reporting catalog, 32 earthquakes of magnitude 3 or higher have occurred within 200 kilometers of the epicenter in the past five years.
