[Global Major Manufacturing Economies Struggle, US Tariffs Severely Impact Factory Orders] Business surveys show that the recovery of major global manufacturing economies was weak in October, with sluggish US demand and President Trump's tariff policies impacting factory orders. US factories have also been affected by import tariffs. In October, new orders declined and supply chain tensions led to the eighth consecutive month of contraction in US manufacturing activity. Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) data shows that factory activity in the Eurozone stagnated, with new orders barely growing and workforce numbers declining. Meanwhile, Germany, an export engine, showed almost no signs of recovery, with production growth slowing again.
