[South Korea's exports may continue to grow in July] Despite facing headwinds from the US tariff hike, South Korea's exports may continue to grow in July, driven by strong shipments of semiconductors and ships. According to the median forecast of 11 economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal, exports may increase by 4.7% in July from a year earlier, following a 4.3% increase in June. The survey showed that imports may increase by 1.9% year-on-year, with a trade surplus of US$5.55 billion in July and a surplus of US$9.08 billion in the previous month. Chun Kyu-yeon, an economist at Hana Securities, said that export momentum may gradually weaken as the United States will impose so-called reciprocal tariffs of at least 15% on South Korean goods. The trade data will be released on Friday
