Construction has officially begun on the Guangzhongjiang Expressway connecting to the Shiziyang Tunnel, expected to open in 2027. On the morning of July 29th, construction officially began on the Shiziyang Tunnel connecting to the Guangzhongjiang Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the "Connection Section Project"). The project is expected to open in 2027. The connection section begins in the west on the Zhongshan side of the Nanzhong Bridge on the Guangzhongjiang Expressway and connects to the Shiziyang Tunnel starting point in Dagang Town, Nansha District, on the east side. The 2,033-meter-long route includes the widening and reconstruction of two bridges and the renovation of the Fangma Interchange. In addition, a 465-meter road reconstruction project is being implemented on the west section of Guige Avenue in Nansha District. (CCTV News)
