Vice Minister of Science and Technology Chen Jiachang Meets with Heads of Artificial Intelligence Affairs from Several Countries and International Organizations. On July 26, 2025, Vice Minister of Science and Technology Chen Jiachang attended the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and High-Level Meeting on Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence in Shanghai. During the meeting, Vice Minister Chen Jiachang met with Amandeep Gill, UN Under-Secretary-General and Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Digital and Emerging Technologies, and Anne Bouvereau, Special Envoy of the French President for Artificial Intelligence. During his meeting with Gill, the two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in scientific and technological innovation and artificial intelligence. During his meeting with Bouvereau, the two sides also discussed implementing the consensus reached by the Chinese and French heads of state and strengthening cooperation on global governance of artificial intelligence.
