India successfully launched an Earth observation satellite on the afternoon of July 30th, local time. This synthetic aperture radar satellite, jointly developed by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and NASA, is named the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR). Its primary objective is to study land and glacier changes, terrestrial ecosystems, and oceans. This marks the first collaborative Earth observation mission between ISRO and NASA. (CCTV News)
