The bulletin shows that in 2024, there will be a total of 4,190 marriage registration agencies and venues nationwide, including 1,134 marriage registration agencies. 6.106 million couples will register for marriage in accordance with the law throughout the year, a decrease of 20.5% over the previous year. The marriage rate is 4.3‰, a decrease of 1.1 percentage points over the previous year. 3.513 million couples will go through the divorce procedures in accordance with the law, including 2.622 million couples registered for divorce by civil affairs departments and 891,000 couples divorced by court judgment or mediation.
