As widely expected by the market, the Bank of Japan voted unanimously to keep short-term interest rates unchanged at 0.5%. In its quarterly outlook report, the Bank of Japan raised its core consumer inflation forecast for this fiscal year to 2.7% from 2.2% three months ago.
