Over 23,000 companies nationwide have participated in exhibitions abroad this year. This morning (July 31st), the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) held a press conference. Reporters learned that since the beginning of this year, the CCPIT has actively guided companies to organize and participate in overseas exhibitions, exploring diversified international markets. To date, over 23,000 companies nationwide have participated in exhibitions abroad. In the first half of the year, the CCPIT approved six batches of 1,418 projects for overseas economic and trade exhibitions, with a planned exhibition area of 826,000 square meters. So far, 54 exhibition organizers have completed exhibition projects in 44 countries and regions, covering an actual exhibition area of 382,000 square meters and attracting over 23,000 exhibitors. Wang Linjie, spokesperson for the CCPIT, explained that second-quarter data showed that exhibitors from emerging markets such as ASEAN and Latin America accounted for 39.8% of the total, an increase of 8.5 percentage points compared to the same period in 2024. The steady growth in the number of exhibitors from emerging markets demonstrates a positive trend of "market diversification and structural optimization." Emerging industries such as new energy and electronic information continue to show increasing interest in overseas exhibitions. (CCTV News)
