[The First Shale Oilfield in Southwest my country Found] On July 31, reporters learned from the Sinopec News Office that the first phase of Fuxing Oilfield's proven geological reserves of 20.106 million tons of oil and 12.352 billion cubic meters of natural gas, submitted by Sinopec Exploration Company and Jianghan Oilfield, successfully passed the review of the Ministry of Natural Resources. This marks the birth of the first shale oilfield in my country's Sichuan Basin and the first oilfield in Chongqing. This represents a strategic breakthrough in the development of shale oil in Southwest China, opening up new areas for shale oil and gas exploration and a new position for increasing reserves in the Sichuan Basin.
