The EIA's natural gas inventories in the United States for the week ending July 25 were 48 billion cubic feet, compared with expectations of 37 billion cubic feet and the previous value of 23 billion cubic feet. As of the week ending July 25, total natural gas inventories in the United States were 3,123 billion cubic feet, an increase of 48 billion cubic feet from the previous week and a decrease of 123 billion cubic feet from the same period last year, a year-on-year decrease of 3.8%. At the same time, they were 195 billion cubic feet higher than the five-year average, an increase of 6.7%.
