Yangtze River Delta Railways Have Transported Nearly 86 Million Passengers Halfway Through the 2025 Summer Travel Season (July 1st to August 31st) The Shanghai Bureau of China Railway has learned that with the 2025 Summer Travel Season (July 1st to August 31st) already halfway through, the Yangtze River Delta Railways have transported nearly 86 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of approximately 0.6%, with a daily average of over 2.77 million passengers. During the Summer Travel Season, daily passenger volume exceeded 2.5 million on 23 days, with July 5th setting a single-day record of 3.264 million passengers. Jiangsu Province transported over 30 million passengers, the highest among the three provinces of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui. Hangzhou East Station saw an average daily passenger volume of over 226,000, making it the busiest station in the Yangtze River Delta during the first half of the 2025 Summer Travel Season.
