Switzerland is evaluating high US tariffs and striving for a "negotiated solution." Following the escalating trade war between Switzerland and the United States, and the White House's announcement of a 39% tariff on Swiss exports, the Swiss government said on Friday it is evaluating the situation. "Switzerland has been and will continue to be in contact with the relevant US authorities," the Swiss Federal Council stated in a statement on X, adding that Switzerland "will continue to strive for a negotiated solution." The Swiss government stated it will analyze the new situation and decide how to proceed.
