[Kyodo News: Japan plans another record-breaking minimum wage hike] Kyodo News reported on Friday that a panel of Japan's Ministry of Labor plans to recommend raising the national average minimum wage by about 6% this fiscal year, which would be the largest increase since 2002. The agency added that the proposed hourly increase of about 1,118 yen (7.43 U.S. dollars) would exceed last year's 5% increase and be the largest increase since the current system was implemented, but did not cite the source.
