[UN: At least 1,373 Palestinians killed in search of food since May 27] The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territory issued a statement on August 1st, stating that despite the Israeli military's announcement on July 27th that it would suspend military operations in the area west of Gaza City to Mawasi for a specified period "to improve humanitarian relief conditions," its forces continued to engage in shooting and shelling of Palestinians around Gaza Humanitarian Fund sites and along food delivery routes. Since May 27th, at least 1,373 Palestinians have been killed in search of food, including 859 near Gaza Humanitarian Fund sites and 514 along food delivery routes.
