[UN Dismisses Israeli Propaganda Video] On August 1st, local time, UNICEF Deputy Executive Director Ted Chaiban stated at a press conference that approximately one-third of the population in the Gaza Strip has gone without food for days, with acute malnutrition rates exceeding 16.5%. Over 320,000 infants and young children are at risk of severe malnutrition. In response to questions from CCTV reporters, Chaiban and the UN Secretary-General's Deputy Spokesperson also disparaged a propaganda video released by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the social media platform YouTube, stating that the video's claim that "Israel is working around the clock to provide food, medicine, and other supplies to the people of Gaza" is simply untrue. Many of the clips are from years ago. Chaiban, who had just visited the Gaza Strip, stated that the humanitarian disaster in the Strip was dire, with people emaciated, their eyes hollow, and children on the verge of death.
