[China Meteorological Administration Adjusts Level III Emergency Response for Heavy Rainfall] On August 2nd, the China Meteorological Administration adjusted the Level III emergency response for major meteorological disasters (typhoons and heavy rains) to Level III for heavy rain. Typhoon "Hypocrea" was discontinued at 11:00 PM on August 1st. According to the latest forecast from the Central Meteorological Observatory, from August 2nd to 6th, heavy rainfall is expected in Northwest China, North China, Northeast China, and Inner Mongolia, with heavy rainfall in Guangdong, Guangxi, and Jiangsu, posing a high risk of disasters caused by heavy rain. After comprehensive assessment and emergency consultations, the China Meteorological Administration adjusted the Level III emergency response for major meteorological disasters (typhoons and heavy rains) to Level III for heavy rain. Provincial meteorological bureaus in Beijing, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Jiangsu, Anhui, Guangdong, Guangxi, Tibet, Shaanxi, Gansu, and Ningxia will initiate or adjust the corresponding emergency response levels based on actual assessments.
