Indonesian Volcano Erupts Violently, Leading to a Safety Notice from the Chinese Consulate General. The Levotobi-Rakiraki volcano in East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia, erupted twice in succession on the evening of the 1st and early morning of the 2nd, sending ash plumes as high as 18,000 meters.
