[Major Breakthrough on Xi'an-Chongqing High-Speed Railway: Miaojialiang Tunnel Opens Today] Reporters from the Xi'an-Kunming High-Speed Railway's Xi'an-Chongqing branch learned that on August 2nd, after 683 days of hard work by builders from the China Railway 12th Bureau, a major breakthrough was achieved in the construction of the Xi'an-Chongqing High-Speed Railway, a key component of my country's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail network, the Beijing-Kunming Corridor and the Baotou (Yinchuan)-Qinghai Corridor. The 1,285-meter-long Miaojialiang Tunnel was successfully opened.
