Hungary's industrial output fell 1% year-on-year in July, with signs of improvement in the manufacturing sector. (1) Hungary's industrial output fell 1% year-on-year in July (-4.9% in the previous month), consistent with the preliminary estimate. (2) The decline in manufacturing narrowed to -0.5% (-5.3% in the previous month), with significant improvement in computer, electronic, and optical product manufacturing. (3) Mining output fell 8.5% (+5.2% in the previous month), while the decline in electricity and gas supply widened to -7.2% (-0.1% in the previous month). (4) Seasonally adjusted industrial output increased 2% month-on-month (-1.2% in the previous month). (5) Industrial output in the first seven months of this year fell 3.5% compared to the same period last year.
