Turkey's Current Account Turns Surplus in July: (1) Turkey's current account surplus reached $1.77 billion in July, a significant increase from $1.39 billion in the same period last year, ending eight consecutive months of deficits. (2) The improvement was primarily due to an increase in the services account surplus, which widened from $7.71 billion to $8.02 billion. (3) The goods account deficit narrowed during the same period, falling from $5.07 billion to $4.64 billion. (4) The primary income deficit widened, from $1.34 billion in July last year to $1.46 billion. (5) The secondary income balance showed a $160 million deficit, reversing a $90 million surplus in the same period last year.
